Blogs about French films

Four blogs that talk about French films (among others):
Left-field cinema: "not film criticism, it's film recommendation and analysis"
Cellophane tears: from a film fan who is "trying to watch at least two films a week "
World Cinema: pretty thorough in the number of films it touches on, but not a lot of depth.
Criterion: does a lot of analysis. It's not so much a blog, as a shop, but this essay by good ol' Slavoj is entertaining.

I used to love listening to a podcast called, "left-field cinema." It was by this man called Mike Dawson - he had the funniest accent and pronunciation, and that's how I got into listening to his podcast. His film knowledge often came across as nearing on elephantine, but his sentence structures were quite unique. Other endearing trademarks: Mike would introduce each of his podcasts with lovely little copyright free Garagband jingles, and create recurrent labels such as , "overlooked gems," "guilty pleasures", and my personal favourite, "misunderstood modern cinema." But I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't find his podcast genuinely interesting. And it turns out his podcasts can be read (a blog, then,) here.

Cellophane tears' Paul Scott emailed Culturethèque, and that's what gave me the idea for this post.
