The conference, chaired by Professor Rod Kedward (University of Sussex), dealt with three themes: Organising Resistance in France, Cooperation and Conflict and Beyond the Free French: Diversity of Resistance. Among the topics that has been discussed are the role of women in the Resistance and the BBC and the way that French people communicated with the Free French. Resistance leader Raymond Aubrac spoke on Resisting in France, Free French Secret Agent Stéphane Hessel discussed Organising Resistance from London.
